A few more from Florida...
(Mike, you guys have such a great variety of birds and environments)
1. Roseate Spoonbill landing
2. Roseate Spoonbill fly-by
3. Great Blue Heron landing
4. Reddish Egret landing (too bad there is an OOF branch in front)
5. Great Blue Heron (the beak is a little OOF)

Luisv you have given me an idea. I want to put it out for the group.
I have a fellow I have met that does Bird Guiding here in Florida.
I thought we might think about a early 2010 or late 2009 Dyxum Florida Bird Tour?? Based in the Titusville, east Orlando area. That would be in range of Merrit Island, Viera Wetlands, and all those places Luisv visited.

Just about one the first bird pics I have ever made. I am way too slow most of the time.
Once I have the camera against my eye, the bird usually has left the scene and is halfway to Africa.

I assume you are using a Minolta 400 4.5?
In your 2nd image the exif data say f560mm.
Is there a 1.4 converter which displays the correct focal length?

Sorry, I forgot to include the lens data. 
You are right. It's the Minolta 400G + 1.4x APO TC.
The Minolta/Sony TC's report the change in focal length and max. aperture, so the 400/4.5 turns into a 560/6.3.
I think the 1.4x Kenko Pro and Sigma converters are non-reporting.

Thank you for the info!!!
Sigma and Kenko 1.4 TCs don`t give the correct reading and I think this has an influence on the SSS since its simple by a factor of 1.4 wrong.

So you want to compete with the Nikon folks? 
I like the idea, but I am not sure about the time of the year. February or March is probably better to get birds in breeding plumage, but you probably know what works better.
The West Coast would also be interesting. I've heard Ft. Desoto, Sanibel and Ding Darling are good places. North beach at Ft. Desoto is great for eye-level shots.
Also, we can't ignore your own backyard with its great bird selection.
