Lovely work everyone. In particular, Vinyan - your images are excellent. Nebbor - that's a great flight shot of the owl. Very impressive given the closed conditions.

Anyway - it's been a long winter for me. Just starting to venture out again. One egret, many shots:

2.

3.

4.

5.

Sorry - I couldn't decide on which one I liked the most, so you get the lot.

@Frankman - I liked the first one from the series. Some how the composition seems to catch the eye.

I'll go for number 2. Of course it is very similar to number 1 but I like how the right leg is raised (though the right leg forward in number 1 is of interest, too.)

I took a bunch of swan pictures yesterday, slowly going through them looking for more "gems."

Here's a mug shot

Shot of a Spotted Pelican landing from my last year's files. Was inspired by Brian's photo in Open views on Landing so pulled this out and processed the same.

The Headless Hunter - a Juvenile Brahminy Kite hovering around a lake to catch a fish. This was one of my first BIF photo. Shot with the A200 and the 75-300 Kit lens.
