Aditya that is the Ashy-crowned Sparrow-lark, previously known as the Ashy-crowned Finch-lark. You must have found hundreds of them at the lake where you shot these

Excellent work everyone. The standard keeps getting better. I had a good morning yesterday. Here's a sample:

A couple of bird shots (Columbus Zoo):
All with A700-+70-400G

1- Bald Eagle behind fence. The white stuff on his feathers are from a white rat had just finished eating and was cleaning up in a stream.

2- Flamingo close-up

3- I was intrigued by the detail around the eye in the above shot. Here is a 1:1 crop. There are tiny feathers for eyelashes.

The game has certainly been lifted here.. great images.. superb feather detail, contrast and saturation (colours)of the birds.. and the people from Canon and Nikon think that they are the only ones that can achieve results like this!

Makes me proud on my choice of equipment.... now I just gotta learn to use it.. :-)
