So... I pulled my camera bag out of the closet, got the A77 out and charged the batteries. The A77 was dead and I needed to set it up again with the location, date/time, etc. This was right before a trip to Las Vegas where I planned to take some shots.

So I get home to look at the pictures - and what crap they were! All of the camera settings I had before were also reset to default. It turns out that most all of the pictures had been taken at 6400 ISO, causing them to look so bad.

So needless to say, I need to relearn this camera after some years of not using it. I've re-loaded my copy of Gary Friedman's A77 guide onto my iPad and am going though it again. I've taken some really, really good pictures in the past with this camera, and I'm hoping I can get back to that level and exceed it!

Enjoy the relearning
If you have any questions, just ask them here - but I see you already did. But also on the pictures. Did you shoot RAW? RAWTherapee is a powerful free RAW converter, there are more around. That might help salvage your pictures,

You know, I should've known to shoot RAW. But then there's part of the learning curve again.
