Other databases list these as Cosinas. They are all available under the Cosina brand. I don't know the history beyond that. Maybe Cosina branded some Tokina lenses? The serial numbers of the Vivitars code the actual manufacturer.

I don't find any support for Magnicon being anything other than a marketing brand name like Vivitar. It seems like an obscure brand name to list these lenses under.

Well, as a Vivitar/Tokina/Magnicon lens owner I would search for them under their brand not under Cosina ...

There is only one Magnicon user review that doesn't mention their lens being another brand. That review doesn't state that their lens is branded Magnicon.

The Magnicons are available under Samyang and Rokinon brands too. I can research this more.

Hopefully I fixed problem with links everywhere, but please let me know if it is still broken somewhere (or if something stopped working as a result of my corrections - you know: one bug fixed, three other introduced )
