Three week 'cull'

Hello one and all.

It probably hasn't escaped your attention but used camera equipment sales are slower than a sloth on Prozac at the moment.

We are averaging around five or six new sales posts per day but only one or two actual sales.

As the main 'Sell/Buy' forum was rushing headlong towards five pages of 'unsold bargains' the task of actually finding anything was becoming far more difficult.

All sellers can help by updating the status of items to 'Sold' or 'Withdrawn' or 'moved to eBay (or wherever) as appropriate.

To make the main forum easier to navigate (and find a bargain) I have 'culled' (in accordance with forum rules) posts that are three weeks old. All of these items have been moved to 'Old Items'.

In addition all 'non KM/Sony' items (excluding lenses) have been/ will be moved to 'external sales' (again in accordance with sell/buy forum rules).

Any non KM/Sony items (e.g. non-photographic or cameras/ accessories of another 'marque' will be moved to 'external' without notice.

This is to try and keep the main forum to a maximum of three pages for the forseeable future and make things a little 'punchier'.

Please do read the excellent 'Guide to Effective Selling' by Dyxum member revdocjim here. There are still lots of sales posts without pictures or with scant descriptions which is possibly one reason why many items are 'languishing' for weeks.
