I work at a Pawn Shop in South Dakota (USA) and I was just digging through a few bags of miscellaneous equipment and I happen to discover a small Canon bag that actually had some Minolta MC/MD mount gear in it. An original Minolta 2x teleconverter as well as a decent copy of the MC Rokkor-X 24/2.8! It was originally supposed to go with an SRT-201 that we sold a few months back but the rep forgot to give the customer the extra gear. I'm going to see if I can get my boss to sell me the bag (contents included) for like $20...going in on my day off, here's to hoping I can get a deal!

I ended up giving my boss $30 for the bag of stuff, and will be doing some test shots over the next few days with the 24/2.8 MC. An initial test shot of a stack of DVDs in my living room at f/8 looks very sharp indeed.

Hey everyone, here's a shot a grabbed a few nights back with my newly acquired copy of the 24/2.8 MC W Rokkor-X lens. I saw the Moon, Venus, and Mars lining up for a very pleasing composition and found some nice material to place in the foreground of the celestial alignment. I believe this was shot at around f/8 as the diffraction spikes would indicate, I didn't jot down my specific aperture. ISO 100, 15 sec.
