Thanks a lot Harald, these look amazing. When we visited Lanzarote, we had a small rental car and we were allowed to drive through Timanfaya. Maybe we were very lucky, but i don't think i had a camera back then. Which is a pity.

The Timanfaya National Park (which is an impressive showcase for a landscape formed by volcanic eruptions only recently) can only be visited by a bus tour which carries the tourists along a loop road which was built in 1950 for the visit of Spain's dictator Generalissimo Franco. The tour buses have tinted (blue) windows. That's the reason why the following images are somehow precarious in terms of color - with the exception of the panorama restaurant they are taken from inside the bus.

Great work Harald, although i liked the previous series more. Did you make photos of Timanfaya? I was at Lanzarote many years ago, we didn't even have kids then, but it left a big impression. TFS
