It's a touching story. Thank you, Winston, for pointing to it. The movie is certainly worth viewing!

Sorry about that. They used to have five stories before hitting the need to have a subscription.
The title of the story is: How a knock on Neil Armstrong’s door in 1969 is still reverberating A short synopsis: Two people were talking at a dinner party in Hong Kong and one of them, Anisha Abraham was telling the story of how her parents and grandmother ended up visiting the childhood home oF Neil Armstrong a few months after the moonshot in July 1969. They were Indian immigrants, the father studying in the United States. They wandered through Ohio and saw a sign stating that this town (Wapakoneta) was where Neil Armstrong was born. The grandmother and Miss Abraham's parents did the unthinkable. At a time were race relations were more problematic in the United States, the four of them (Miss Abraham was but a toddler then) walked along the neighborhood and knocked on the door of the Armstrongs. Astonishingly, the Armstrongs greeted them, invited them in, had a long chat and had a picture taken with the parents of Neil Armstrong. Mrs. Armstrong held the very young Miss Abraham in her arms. As the film director, Jo Chim (the other conversant) describes the movie as: “Ultimately, it’s a story between two very different families finding connection and a shared humanity; a testament to taking leaps of faith and small acts of openness and kindness that make a difference.” After the movie was shown at NASA, Miss Abraham decided to hold a party for the cast and crew. And with her parents in attendance, two guests knocked at Miss Abarahm's door (who is now Doctor Abraham). It was Mark (son of Neil) and Wendy Armstrong, who wanted to surprise Miss Abraham's parents (after they had seen the film). On top of the story is the picture of Miss Abraham, the grandmother, her parents, and the Armstrongs. The kicker is this. The picture was taken by Neil Armstrong, who was visiting his parents after his worldwide tour (after the moon landing). According to Armstrong (in the movie), once you see the planet from space, you see how fragile Earth really is. And how from up there, no boundaries exists between its lands and its people. Here is the link to the info page for the film: One Small Visit Thanks for reading. Edited by Almazar80 - 16 October 2022 at 18:14 |

An Immigrant's Tale at the Armstrong's Still a lot of good in this world. |
