So all the speculation about there being no control dial and Sony have been crafty and recessed it in the top plate - neat.

The handgrip looks a little larger than first thought too.
All the best

I've seen two already Gustav, but i want to make the jump around the end of this year. Yes...the SAL300F28 is a wonderful item, but a bit restricted, heavy and expensive. Of course i'd like one anyway.
With the production of only 1 lens a day i don't see Sony coming with a cashback action on this one (i keep hoping).

yes , and i now that he`s already here in the netherlands , but at the last moment SONY decided to wait
the mini full-frame , is a danger for the A900 ,

but irm not sure , if the mini full-frame is the A800 it`s possible that it is the A1000

One other bright note:

Now that the entry-level (which is a bit unfair to the 350/380 sensor, but whatever) announcements are out of the way, Sony has little else to work on but the 700 replacement!

Press release

They don't link to any full-size images yet, but these pages have thumbnails of the new bodies, lenses and flash.

Note the pivot point of the new HVL-F20AM flash:

And what appears to be a nice copper color alternative with a brown (leather?) grip strap:

I give up on this thread. Monday is the 18th and we will see the new stuff then. Also most of us will be commenting on a new thread. Complaining about how Sony did not come out with a camera for the "serious" photographer. My last comment...if Sony, or any other camera vendor did not sell enough of the "step up" models then we would not be seeing any new high end ones. Kind of like the way you move up through the Honda/Accura car line up.
