My first sighting of a Black Shouldered Kite. Don't know how aa gets such detail, I couldn't get within 50M and boy do they fly fast!!





A female Superb Fairy Wren



Not sure about this one. A Striated Fieldwren maybe???

I went out for a walk yesterday, and got a couple of bird shots.

First mr. Swan, who is dripping water from the beak.


Red-necked Grebes dancing and singing. Their song is not very pretty.
Unfortunately the light isn't coming from a perfect direction.


And here the closest I have ever been to a Red-necked Grebe. I was shooting throug rush, but here I have the whole bird, and only a shadow in front of it.

Not many of us using Helicon Filter. I don't use it for routine PP any more, but it still makes a dandy frame.
