Yeah the photo seems to have a certain smoothness and the noise is very low. I still have many slides from my granddad - must scan these in the future too.

Thanks for your praise! It's from the "library". It was taken in 2004, the "last" year before I went "digital". One of the main problems with (in particular the "older" shots) is the large amount of dust and other artifacts you get when scanning these pictures, even when these have been stored carefully in special plastic film holders. Negatives are in fact more difficult to get good scans of compared with slides. But the more recent pictures come out reasonably well.

Nice shot Paul. Did you take it recently or is it from the "library"?
Film still looks very good. |

Thanks EK, since I am about 2 miles outside of Philadelphia that seems fitting! Even though I'm sure the name has nothing to do with the city

@dca1213 - it is a mockorange (Philadelphus coronarius), I think. Sometimes called english dogwood, especially in the south. Is a very nice, low maintenance shrub.

Not sure what this is, it's a tree between my house and the neighbor, I just like the way the late afternoon sun struck it. Honeysuckle?
