From a trip to Mallorca last week. Just in time to see a little (sun)light shine to a tiny window on this crucifix

Have you tried the adjustment brush tool in lightroom?   You can do selective adjustments with highlights/shadows etc. I use it a lot in this sort of situation but it needs care to avoid overspill haloes...

Hi Mikey, thanks for the comments!

The lack of symmetry in the chairs did give me pause for thought, but there's so many little details here and there that thwarted any attempt for near perfect symmetry that I gave up worrying about it in the end!

They're not HDR, just processed in lr with the shadows lifted, I knew I might lose detail in the highlights but I find over using the highlight slider gives a false look so left them looking "realistic".

Very nice, Simon. Some classy cloister catches there. Don't you just wish they had place those chairs slightly more symmetrically (me being fussy again) Then again, maybe the fact the chairs are just off centre adds a nice "cognitive glitch" to the pics

The God Fearing Choir Boy is great fun too - it's rare to get an unusual angle in a church pic but you succeeded in finding something new
A minor point here but the stained glass in the background is a little blown. Was this from a raw? In fact, I suspect it might even be a tastefully done HDR... Any chance of a re-edit to help those windows?

@bigsi - I think you have done the Cathedral of Saint-Tugdual at Treguier justice ! Particularly the first chapel shot for the light and the god fearing choir boy is such a great POV, they are all beautiful.
