One of my flatmates in Birmingham brought Tubular Bells home when it was released. We all liked it but he played it incessantly, driving us crazy. Haven't listened to it since then!

At last somebody with taste - Vivaldi. May I recommend Vivaldi's La tempesta di mare ("The Storm at Sea"), a flute concerto in F Major (RV 433; P. 261).

Tubular Bells sure stirs up memories. takes me back to the early 70s, with my friend Stuart playing it over and over (and over) again, while we were sipping old scotch. teenagers! like 13?
but I don't like the association with a certain movie! ('this' one ;)).

TY Wolfgang! a favourite!! 1 of the best versions EVER!
(discovered it many years ago. and recently the complete version, also Venice, same orchestra).

TY Addy!

listening to Pachelbel's Canon in D
the long version...

love the chorus, and it goes on and on and ..

goes particularly well with slide shows btw.
(don't bash me for the Canon pls? ).

(if you'd like to watch, I think 'this' is nice:

Thanks for the tip.
Manny people one know the four seasons, and do not know how productive he has been and that his work was almost forgotten for 200 years

Sorry lost my self totally in music, so I forgot updating.
After lunch music spread from Keith Jarrett - The Köln Concert to Nine Inch Nails - Downward spiral.
Might drift into classic music next

Thanks for that link Ine, I love baroque music but didn't know this one yet. The intro with the forceful double bases is indeed spectacular but the entire piece is nice and well played.
You can see the April Foolishness 2022 exhibition here Another great show of the talent we have on Dyxum

King Crimson, Get thy bearings (Live 1972). Outrageous, just as the rest of the Ladies of the Road CD.
