Dear Dyxumers,

Eventually I managed to finish vote counting and I am pleased to announce the photo which won the competition in this DPC - quite tough I have to say: only one point of difference between the winner and the first HM ...

"Eye of the Storm" by pdeley

The Honourable Mention awards this time go to:

"The calm before the storm" by darosa

and

"An Umbrella for Two" by brian33

Congratulations to the winner and the HMs and thank you all for voting and participation in this DPC ...

Happy shooting,
MiPr

Wow I'm honored and thrilled!! At the same time: Uh oh are you sure there's no need for one more recount? There were so many great submissions to this DPC and both HMs certainly among the greatest!

Interesting aside: storm & rain apparently struck the strongest note with most of us for this theme, even though it only stipulated tonality rather than any particular subjects, settings or concepts.

Congrats pdeley! No need to be modest, you made a fine shot.
And Brian, good to see you here too, with your (as always) very atmospheric shot.

And thanks all for making my photo HM!

Excellent shot, pdeley! It all comes together as far as composition is concerned, and that compo is supported by the "binary" color scheme, a perfect fit for this DPC. darosa's shot is wonderful as well, I absolutely love it. I'm quite honored to be in such fine company!
