Hello, Am looking for the original Lens hood for MAF 100-400 APO. May be someone of you would like to sell it to me. Or, if not, may be someone can advise me which other lens manufacturer lens hood would be easy to adapt (could be on screw mounting or bayonet) to my lens. Thank you for help. Regards.

I had to replace mine long and it's hard to come by, kept checking KEH.com and after many months one appeared. According to Micheal Hohner's site the P/N is 6644-810.

Ahoy!
There's a M-6238 Matin 72mm rubber solar hood at: https://www.benel.eu/ for €9.95 + €14.52 postage. On eBay, there's multiple listings for individual hoods of diffetent types, but the following item number is for a dual hood, cap a and cloth set (UK vendor): 142939405358 If you're not already a TopCashback member, use my referral code, sign up and click-through for rebates (eBay UK are listed): https://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/pirate You'll get an account credit once you earn £10.00+ in rebates. There's plenty of screw-in types listed including Amazon (UK), so unless collapsible rubber or screw-in types aren't what you want, then unless you can find a reversible Matin 72mm plastic hood, the options are limited unless you can find an OEM 6644-810 hood. |

Ahoy there!
Having looked on eBay for a hood for my Minolta AF 100/2.8 Macro, I found JJC white hoods for Canon. I don't know if all lenses share a common fitting but it may be worth looking to see what's available in terms of colour, size and type as these generic hoods are much cheaper than OEM versions. Do a worldwide search for: JJC white lens hood. Of course, the OP isn't after a white hood, but in case they or anyone is, it's just a suggestion. Edited by Pirate - 03 June 2019 at 13:19 |
