Hi Everyone,

So the trip continues, this time based out of Gardiner at the North entrance to Yellowstone park.

The move allows us to now use road vehicles (much of the main road system is kept open over the winter as it is a main East - West access route through from Cody) and that gives us more freedom than we had based in West yellowstone - though not the delights of the snow coach unfortunately. This meant that our first 'port of call' really had to be Mammoth Hot Springs and while the light wasn't great to start with, it did have some surprises for us later on.... So; onto the images:

1. Not a Bison

2. A Less Snowy Terrain

3. Snow Not Far Away Though

4. Scene From The Upper Terrace

5. Lone tree

6. Languid Pool

7. Upper Angel Terrace

8. Middle Angel terrace

9. Terrace Pools

10. Hillside View

11. Two Trees and a Stump

12. Growth; Of Sorts

13. A Challenging Landscape

14. Tangerine Spring Reflection

The morning's light was challenging at times and, added to the mist which swirled about, many more 'losing' images than winners but still happy up to this point! Strange how the heat/cold really plays with the colours produced by the Thermophile bacteria, even in winter as these are very much more subdued than in the summer months.

Thanks for looking and comments always welcomed.

Best regards, Neil.

My Mantra: "Comment on other's work as you would wish to have yours commented upon". Go on - it's fun!

As I went through the group, #5 was the first to really grab my attention wonderful, the wonderful mid horizon beautifully breaking the image in half and the tree crossing the horizon, joining the the image.

And then there is #7 - Wow, simply wow.
Hatred corrodes the container it is carried in. http://rogerrex.zenfolio.com/

A beautiful set overall Neil
Apart from the ones mentioned by Michele and Roger, # 8, 9 and 10 work well for me too.
