Quick test of close up capabilities at a camera shop (so yes, I don't currently own this lens)

Batis 40mm f2.0 on Sony A7III
1/800 f8 ISO 200
Not possilbe to see in the sample, but IQ and rendering are wonderful. This is a jpg out of cmaera, no processing camera profile "Standard". I love this focal length!

1/20 f2.0 ISO 5000 ?   This is close focusing, though not at MFD. I do wonder if this should really be ISO 5000 at f2? Report is that the camera shows f2.0 but actually stops down at least a stop.

1/20 f2.8 ISO 500

1/20 f6.3 ISO 6400

This one is a test of FW ver. 3.0 Animal eye AF.
Focus on left eye, very shallow DOF because of large aperture and close focus. So left eye sharp, right eye not so much.

Out of camera jpeg.
