First of all - my apologies to all for not posting/confirming postcards which I received long time ago. I put them on my little "to do" stack and ... forgot about them completely until today.

So, taking this in alphabetical order:

---------------

First is the beautiful Australian Black Cockatoo from gregja. Taken at Margaret River (if only I deciphered the river's name correctly )

As you can see the card arrived in almost immaculate condition and it had a very nice stamp

---------------

Then we have nice night shot from Labernethy showingthe Pickering's Pedestrian Bridge which spans 14 lanes of the busiest Canadian transportation route (Highway 401) linking rail station to the Pickering town center

Again - tha card is in almost perfect condition. That's pity that the colours turned out a bit bleached on the scan - on original postcard they are much more contrasty and deep.

The card arrived with a little cute stampy:

---------------

The last but not least is the postcard from rovhazman - showing typical view around where Shay lives. Shay described this view with words which I found a perfect fit for the photo title:

A Lot of Nothing And Then One Acacia Tree

I tried to find any damage on this card and failed - perfect condition.

BTW, the card not only had a very nice stamp but also a (rubber) stamp of the Coral World marine park in Eilat - great - this is what makes postcards doubly unique

I'm noise-blind. And noise-about-noise-deaf too ... |   BTW, Dyxum Weekly Exhibitions don't grow on trees ...

My apologies for the delay - I had some scanner problems. But now the scanner is back from repair and I can post here the last two cards I received:

The Ajax Town Hall by LAbernethy

Back

Thank you for that beautiful night shot!

And a postcard from Israel (nice stamps, btw) showing what to me looks like Bern, Switzerland (but I maybe wrong about that), sent by Warpy

Back

Thank you very much!

Both arrived about mid-January.

Does a Dyxum admin need to kick things off, or can we just start a new thread here in Open Topics? MiPr has participated consistently over the years.

Maybe I can get my son to play along too. He's taking a photography class this fall in HS, shooting film (using either my Dynax 505si, Maxxum 9 or maybe even my SRT-101).

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer, or winter! Happy shooting, folks.

You may have just volunteered to organise this.

+1

I have completed several of these but couldn't do 2018/19. So come on ADub128, we will all support you.

(Didn't Rusty used to run these? His profile says he hasn't been active for a year now. Hope he is okay).

Ha! OK, I'll kick things off later this week ... I'm stuck in work mode at the moment. I'll DM MiPr too in case he can help. Admins have more flexibility inside the forums, I think.

Yes, Rusty used to run things for DPE. I messaged him a year or two ago. I think he's switched away from Sony/Minolta/K-M and is not here very often. I'll ping him again ... maybe he'll want to join in again.

Before that was a guy in Australia who coordinated everything. I can't remember his Dyxum handle at the moment.

Let's keep this going for at least another year! I visit Dyxum less often than in the past. I used to visit a lot when the world of digital photography was still in flux. But, DPE and some of the other challenges keeps me coming back!

I'll plan on creating a new post soon, linking to it in this thread ...
