Pako ... thanks for confirming that my card arrived! Your scan makes my image look super high key. I'll have to post the original here soon.

Fun to see the cards continue to roll in.

I was fortunate enough to secure one of MiPr's spare cards and it arrived today together with an illustration of the card itself .

This is Zdrapka (Scratchy) who while reported as being a very nice cat is also very grumpy and always moaning! I like Zdrapka's pose in this one Mirek. The card arrived in good condition with just a few bumps around the edges.

and a Christmas Day stamp

Surprisingly I got some mail today and it was a postcard from Australia! Usually we don't have Saturday mail delivery here, but maybe the postal strike backlog or yesterday's holiday (Finnish independence day) has prompted mail workers to do the delivery rounds also today - or alternatively the mailman (or maybe I should say mailperson) had originally dropped it to wrong mailbox and one of my neighbours had dropped it into the correct one only today. On Monday I encountered something like that as I got an interesting large white envelope which had sender and recipient first name written in large block letters indicating that the sender was quite young, but sadly the recipient name and address (rest of which was written in different kind of letters) pointed to my upstair neightbour.

Anyhow, the card I got today had a nice picture of a koala from clk230:

As you see, there was few signs that the card had went thru mail handling machinery, but generally it was in good condition. And the other side looked fine too and provided interesting information about the subject of the photo:

This means I have now received all the DPE cards I am expecting and thus I can only wait for a word if two of my cards have received their recipients.

Life and death can get in the way of the best laid plans.

This is the first time I've touched the computer since mid-October due to a death in the family and all the palaver that arises from that, combined with my return to full-time work after three & a half years of retirement. Between the two, I haven't had time to wake to computer.

The five postcards sent to have now all arrived, mostly safely. I'll take the obligatory image of them and post them here.

I will finally be posting my five postcards to my patient Dyxumers in the next couple of days after I've found the backs I bought in September (?)

My apologies for my massive tardiness.

And now I discover that there are less than a thousand images visible in my C1 catalog - the others are still counted there, but C1 won't display them. I've got that sinking feeling that all my tags for location, subject, equipment, etc. will have gone if/when I convince C1 to show me my images again.

Adam, sorry to hear about your loss.
Good to hear that the cards arrived, no pressure in posting them - it seems that you have more important things to do right now...
