Thanks for your concern - fortunately Adelaide isn't experiencing the terrible conditions of Australia's eastern states.

Glad to see the card arrived ok and the stamp is able to be re-used
C & C always welcome

I received two cards today. One from Bonneville all the way from the UK, and the other from Hezu from even further, Finland. Here are the scans:

From Bonneville, this is the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Market Overton, Rutland. The building dates back to the mid-1800s. The card arrived in great shape, with just minor scuffing and barcoding.

Bonneville's stamp was hand canceled with a ballpoint pen. A beautiful and well-crafted card with custom printed photoback.

Hezu's shot is of the University of Helsinki's research farms in Viikki, a few miles from the Helsinki city center. This shot is from Hezu's photo archives, the weather isn't quite like this yet. Helsinki definitely has a very different look and feel from southern California. The card itself is in great shape, with only minor marks and the barely visible barcoding.

Thanks, Bonneville and Hezu!

To date, I have received 3 of the 9 I am expecting.

I deliberately decided to send you (and couple others) a card with a scenery that probably is quite different from what can be found in the recipients' neighbourhood.

And I just posted the original photo to a suitable thread in the themed views.

With this report my tally is now 3/5 cards in both received and arrived categories. And with the nasty postal strike continueing I probably won't receive any new cards in the near future...

This immaculate 5x7" postcard from @Howard_S was waiting for me when I arrived home from work this evening. A semi-gloss finish printed by snapfish, the only blemish I could see was a scuff in the bottom right (underneath the blue poster). The image is from Arles, France and continues (?) Howard's theme of images of images in streets. I love the image and the card/printing from snapfish looks very professional.

and a stamp depicting Australia's Queen - how very thoughtful of you Howard!

C & C always welcome

Great to see the cards turning up: that's one to go, and I'm also awaiting one more to arrive here.

My cards were on a theme, and I'll post the set when the last one is received.

Another card arrived today
It was a very kind invitation for a beer with Shay (rovhazman).

It's his favourite bar in Eilat, and I can clearly see why. Would love to stabilize there!
The card arrived in very good condition, with only one corner slightly bent. Apologies for the reflection in the top right corner.
It's a print with stickered back.
.
Many thanks for this card Shay, and I really hope to meet you there.

This brings my score on 8 of 10 received, and one out of 7 sent to be confirmed.

Hi guys,
I'm sorry I haven't post her in a while. But I did my homework! I sent my 7 cards (5 to my list plus 2 spares) last Wednesday. I hope you will like them!

I also received my 5 cards: thanks Maccroft, gregja, pegelli, Martymoose and nandbytes. I will scan them and to post them here soon.

Cheers

I finally got all my cards printed by Printique (I still don't understand why AdoramaPix changed their name that way, re-branding they said...) and will try to ship them this weekend.

It's always good to see real mail arriving home -not just bills and spam!

BTW, I have spares...
;-)

I still have spares
if someone wants to do a "cards swap"
;-)

I received a spare card from bonneville on Tuesday. A glossy photo of his dogs, as requested. It did have two rub marks down the middle, but they missed the dogs! Sorry I haven't had time to scan it, between work and computer problems.

Apologies for the delay...

I've received two more postcards, one from Bonneville and a second, more recent postcard from MiPr...

from bonneville:
Thank you bonneville for the nice postcard of the church at Rutland Water. It looks like a very scenic wedding location. :)

from MiPr:
Hi MiPr, thank you for the nice postcard of Wroclaw Gnomes. Searching the city for these sounds fun, thank you for sharing :)

6, from rovhazman, arrived Saturday. Good shot of (greater?) flamingos, on his commute route. A couple of small chips in image, faint barcoding, minor (splash?) marks below low-flying birds (might be wingtip strikes on the water). Commerorative stamps.

I'm happy that my cards appeared at least somewhere :)

@bonneville ("Great tonal range and an interesting finish. B&W film?") - nope, fully digital :) See here

@nandbytes - I'm happy you and your wife liked it. Here's the original (click on it for bigger versions):

@Fred_S ("a petty you couldn't convince Thamarie to participate this year BTW") - yes, we missed tit somehow and this time she was not very enthusiastic - maybe too busy at school?

@pegelli ("...but I have the feeling that Mirek really needs to post the original here as well, because the scan won't do it justice") - here you are Pieter

@MartyMoose - it's not very apparent but the little one has a bouquet of roses in his right hand

I'm noise-blind. And noise-about-noise-deaf too ... |   BTW, Dyxum Weekly Exhibitions don't grow on trees ...
