This received Tuesday from Art/ADub128:

Nice monochrome. No palm trees, and less interesting buildings around here, alas.

After a pause, a card comes winging in all the way from the southern hemisphere: a view of the Coolongolook River bridge at Forster, with a nice commemmorative stamp as a bonus.

The postcard itself was a good quality home-printed card by the looks of it, marred only by a couple of dings in transit.

Many thanks to @gregja for this lovely image.

@aplmike ... glad my card arrived safely. Looks like it made it in great shape. I was surprised it took this long to get to you, nearly two weeks, for a card that stayed in the U.S..

BTW, has anyone heard from BobJ? I met up with him that day I took that shot of the ARTIC in Anaheim. He's been a regular DPE participant in the past.

Current send count -- 5 of 6 of my sent cards have arrived!

A postcard received on Saturday 10th October from Hezu. It's a wonderful postcard. Received in pristine condition. No scratches or markings. The picture is a glossy print of a local train. A subject of much interest to me. I'll scan it in the next few days. Thank you Hezu.

You're welcome!

First of mine to be reported as arriving. Looks like around 2 weeks in transit. Not bad considering everying else happening.

We've just returned from a trip to Forster - in laws live there - so the bridge may make another appearance in Oktoberfest...

@Fred_S ... glad you're in business! Looking forward to seeing your cards land.

@gregja ... have you received any cards yet? My card to you has been in transit 2+ weeks now.

No, nothing from anyone yet. But I'm not overly concerned. International post has been very slow due to the general reduction in aircraft. And part of the fun of the DPE is knowing the cards get here when they get here

@gregja ... yep, totally agree, part of the fun of the DPE process is the old school mail delivery. There is a certain charm to it all. I wonder if the USPS waits until there is a big enough batch of mail before they load it on a plane? Taking a step back, it is still incredible that this all works!
