you could have had one week with a Voigtlander lens, one with Sony, one with Leica, and then ended on one with Zeiss [nice to have that lot for choice!] |

Too bad Brian, we'll miss you. I hope it's nothing too serious that causes you to cancel. Anyway, all the best with your endeavors that got in the way.

Count me in, Pieter!
But I am yet undecided which focal lengths to use. Week A: 18mm or 21mm or 24mm Week B: 35mm or 40mm or 45 mm Week C: 85mm or 100mm Week D; 135mm or 180mm or 200mm I should probably use the trainign week to sort this out! I just need some spare time to do it! |

I´ll join the circle, 3/week I will try more. The lenses are:
Week A: Sigma 16 mm F1.4 DC Contemp. (APS-C)// added: Sony FE 16–35mm F4 ZA OSS (Full Frame) Week B: Zeiss Batis 2/40 mm CF Week C: Sigma 60 mm F2.8 DC (the intended Samyang FE 75 mm 1.8 didn‘t arrive) Week D: Minolta MD Tele Rokkor 135/3.5 or Sigma 100-300/4.0 at the long end. Hopefully the training week will help to decide. Edited by Robbie - 12 July 2020 at 02:04 |

One question. I was late to discover we are still in training (brain not working so well these days), but where can we post the fruits of our hard work? Training thread perhaps?

Oh, by the way, if I use a prime for 16 mm film and it has a small image circle, can I crop the FF image into a square to make a 'planet'. Or use APSC mode and crop square with only black corners? As my image circle in dead center cropping from one side will give unappealing results. This being the 'most flexible' challenge.....

I missed the bit about training for the first few days. So, I’ll post later into the training thread. Regarding image circles and square cropping, Aps-C mode etc, it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. I suppose it will be the same for each shot anyway so the challenge is upheld!

I think I have decided on this set:
Minolta AF28/2.8 Sigma Art 35/1.4 Tam90 macro For the long prime, I only have the 135STF. I could try taping a zoom which could lead to 210mm/5.6(E55-210) Or 200/2.8 (sigma 70-200) Or 400mm/5.6(Sony 70-400) (big! Heavy!) |
