The focal length multiplier for 16 mm film is 3.4, so this 50 mm Biotar is quite long for a 16 mm film camera. As it covers the 35 mm sensor (with a nice vignette) and 16 mm film frame is about 12 mm wide one can wonder why it was designed like this, because it was never sold as 35 mm photo lens. But because it is a full frame lens it is very popular (read expensive).

Bicycle rack

Camera Model: ILCE-7M3
Lens: Carl Zeiss Jena 1Q Biotar 1.4/50 (AK16, 16mm film)
Aperture: f/1.4
Exposure Time: 1/2500 sec
ISO: 100

The incamera b/w was to dark and there were no possibilities to change that. Therefore I developed the raw file and converted it into b/w. Here it is:

Tube

A700 with DT 16-80mm F3.5-4.5 ZA @ 50 mm, ISO 100, f/7.1, 1/125 sec.
