Here some Day 5 outtakes.
I tried to influence the mood of the photo in the PP&conversion

Remove cuteness

it is difficult to convey cuteness in B&W

Stress subject

By giving it a different contrast to other parts of the photo

Radiate Sadness

low contrast soft borders,...

Stress the subject

stress the subject through details iso colors

Just a pick of the many things you can do.
It may help if you try NIK Silver Effex pro to apply to your own photos (free test period)

Nik is currently discounted, btw.
More Dyxumer, less photographer.

No, it is taken over by DXO, who are gradually improving the functionality again

Inspired by Brian's (bonneville) church series I decided to go to the small village of Wechelderzande (< 4000 souls) and see what the parish church would offer.

Here's a few outtakes that I also liked, there was no way to shoot the whole church, too cramped in several other ugly buildings.

1: Grave stone placed in the outside wall

2: Saint Peter, holding the key to heaven

3: Side altar, dedicated to Saint Amelberga, patron saint of this church

All A7ii + Voigtländer APO Lanthar 65/2 macro

In response to Joe's comment, here's the negative view, which apart from a few quirks looks more 'normal' than the original!
