I'm planning tomorrow to post the best 1/3 of a roll I have just developed in the Lab-Box which is the first time of using it. (I have written a post of my first experience with it in the Home Developing thread).

Fingers crossed and we can re-start this challenge for 2022

Excellent. I have a colour film in a Rollei 35S I am testing. All being well I’ll have a third of a roll for sharing in a few days.

As hoped I have managed to digitise all 36 frames using the Sony FE 90mm f2.8 Macro G on a7RivA. Loaded them into Lightroom, reversed them horizontally to bring them back to the correct way round and performed a little magic with Negative Lab Pro. It has been a while since I did this and took a bit of recalling, but in the end I am pleased with the outcome.

36 images, best 1/3 = 12. Here are the first four, all taken in Spalding in Oct or Nov 2021:

Here are the second four, all taken at Duxford and on the way home in 2021 (I really intend to put more rolls through my cameras this year )

Thanks, Brian - that seems to have worked well as a combination. It reminds me that I'd like to get Duxford this year as well!

I got some decent light in S Wales today, but I haven't finished the roll yet. Some more shots tomorrow, I hope.

bonneville - I like the last four the most. Nice urban mood in black and white.

I have been testing a Rollei 35 S with a roll of film before releasing it for sale in a local charity shop.

Rollei 35 S

A lovely camera, beautifully engineered to be small and take great 35mm pictures. It has manual focus (no rangefinder) and exposure is set when the camera is away from the eye, no indicator in the viewfinder.

Here are my one-third keepers from the roll, developed and scanned by Snappy Snaps. The film is Kodak Color Plus, with an expiry date in February 2010.

And we are off for 2022. Thank you for joining in Howard and seeky (looking forwards to more from you )

Bob, I know you are busy but are you planning to show us more from your vast range of film machines? I especially like your information about how you develop your various films, and printing over sprockets is something I have yet to attempt.

When I digitise my negatives by aiming a macro lens at them clamped in a digitizer (!) on a usb light mat I have thought about including the sprockets, even though there are no images in that area. But I didn't as it looked a bit corny. And I can always add a rebate in pp

The Rollei looks to be in fine fettle Howard - can you resist the temptation to add it to your collection?

Many thanks, Brian and Phil. I plan to do more films this year. And yes, Phil, that Rollei is tempting, but I have more than enough film cameras!

Today's temptation at an Oxfam shop was an Asahi Pentax 6x7 SLR with 3 lenses and a teleconverter - even more expensive!
