We're at 13 participants now, representing 7 countries and 6 UTC time zones (3 US states in 3 UTC zones)! There is a heavy northern hemisphere bias as usual (hi gregja!), average UTC of 0.52 so far.

We have a couple of weeks before we close sign ups. In the meantime, make sure you have a solid postcard printing solution.

I'll be printing here at home using an Epson ET-8500, sticky postcard backs from Amazon.

I'm new. Hubby told me about his experience with the post card exchange. I was recently given his old camera and have started playing around with photography. I figured this would be a great way to expand my creativity!

I have just installed and tested my not so old Canon Selphy CP910. It was a bit of a problem as Canon decided to stop supporting it but finally some old drivers I luckily kept worked, so locked and loaded :)

@Fred_S ... yes, nice to see the energy and momentum here!

@Mestari ... I'm glad you got your printer working OK! That's dye sub vs. ink jet. I don't think I've ever used a dye sub printer before.

Question for the folks in Europe -- in the USA we generally print 4"x6" for postcards. In Europe, are you using 10cm x 15cm paper, or A6 size? What would a 3rd party photofinisher provide?

I prefer sending and receiving 4"x6" (or its equivalent) because they fit nicely into little photo albums. But, it's also nice to receive panoramic-sized ones, or larger formats. I forget what the max postcard size is for the US Postal Service.

I'll post a pic of my little albums later, with all of the postcards I have received over the years ... I'll figure out how many DPEs I've participated in too.

In Europe it would be 10x15cm which is our version of 4x6".

My printer only supports 10x15 format so that's what I plan to send.
This is also one of the most popular formats at the labs.

I just took a look at my box of Epson 4x6 inch photo paper. It also says 102x152 mm ... close enough!

I'm glad you're making sure all of your hardware is working. It's good to print your photos. I actually need to print bigger more frequently, display my shots. 99% of the time I'm printing just 4x6 though.

Same here, but some time ago one man from Polish Sony forum gave me the ability to print 60x40cm prints for the cost of ink and paper. The results were amazing :) I don't have such printer at home, only that Canon and another one - office laser. But I encourage everyone to try the online photo book printing services, I gives me much more pleasure to view my photos in albums done that way :)
