Welcome, Phil! I *think* you've participated before?

Whenever I see your screen name here, I think of the Phil Wood bike parts

Yes, I took part once before but missed the call last year. As for the bike parts, I am pleased to say I am not that Phil Wood - he died in 2010.

We're at 16 signups now -- 7 countries, 6 UTC time zones represented. 0.64 average UTC.

I bought some new "global" stamps yesterday, and I have some leftover domestic ones. I've been working on my penmanship too, LOL. I realize how horrible my handwriting is each DPE. I know some of you will use 3rd party postcard providers ... you folks have perfect penmanship!

Xolunanoke and I are ordering adhesive postcard backings, so you can see my terrible handwriting too, Art. Her's is impeccable. We'll be getting our images printed via White House Custom Color.

We're also going on a walkabout this weekend to get some fresh photos for the exchange

jvsanchez, glad you and Xolunanoke are totally into it! Happy shooting this weekend.

In your signature line, that should be an A7 IV, right, not A77 IV? I wish there was an A77 IV sometimes! I kind of want to find an old A99 just for grins, but I'm mostly mirrorless nowadays.

I'm on Sony nowadays all because we had Minoltas to use at home when I was a kid ... that early branding works!

I used to participate every year, but I haven't been here in 10 or so years. It's great to be back! So many names I remember, including yours, that i'm glad to see still around

My dad had a Minolta Maxxum growing up. I started on an A200, then an A700, then A77, then A77 II, then A7 II, and now the A7 IV. I quit taking pictures regularly for quite awhile, but it's good to have the itch and the inspiration back again. I've quite missed it. And Luna's just started, I think she's quite talented She's inherited the A7 II and a couple of lenses. I guess marriage has it's perks lol

I think I'll join, although I am somewhat torn on the different card printing options, primarily because last couple years I have used Posti's online card sending service, but last year there was couple cards that may have gone lost (one potential pitfall of this service is somewhat rigid address formatting that may not work for all foreign address conventions).

And I'm from Finland, UTC+3 for time being, UTC+2 once DST ends.

Oops completely missed this post.
Tennis is popular in Sydney and the Open lead up events usually sell out. But we’re heading into dangerous Sydney vs Melbourne rivalry territory here which never ends well .

We're at 17 players now, 8 countries represented in 7 "standard time" UTC time zones. It's too tough to keep track of who does "summer time" or not.

@Hezu -- good luck finding a more reliable postcard solution.

@gregja -- we have tons of regional city rivalries here in the States too!

Oh, and geographically speaking, @gregja is the furthest east *and* south, @Hezu is the furthest north, and I am the furthest west at the moment ... spanning the globe!!

But I think I'm closer to you than any of the other participants!

@gregja, let's meet up in Hawaii for coffee one of these days!! Another thing I love about the DPE is learning all about great circle (or orthodromic) distances across our globe.

@MartyMoose, welcome back. Nice to see old screen names pop up again. Glad you can participate again! Also nice to have another UTC -8 here, LOL. And I think we are about tied for furthest west!
