Howard, I like the Dali reference. Just a long exposure to soften the water to create more of a contrast with the sea stack, soft and hard. I took lots of frames so I could get one with the birds in place; combined a long exposure image for the water with the "sky" image that included the birds placed the best of my ten or twenty bird shots. Here's the original as requested.
