Evangelos

Great detail in pics 1 and 3. What does pic 1 look like in colour? For me the baboon and rock blurr into each other. But does not take away from the sharpness of the image.
Love the expression and colour tones in pic 3 - my favourite of the three.

I agree #1 is good but # 3 is excellent.

#1 is very good, but #3 is simply priceless - excellent exposure and framing and not to forget the look on the face

Thank you for the comments

Graham, "For me the baboon and rock blurr into each other." That was the purpose of the PP, thus the "Face in the Rock."

One similar attempt from a different capture of the same baboon:

Really top notch, I got what you were doing in #1 and like it very much. I think #2 could have been great if the eye was sharper, but it's still nice. 3 speaks for itself and says POTW.

Evangelos

Now this one I prefer Here I personally think it works better than the first one with the whole baboon and rock, for me this now is "Face in rock" and works very well. This really emerges from the rock and has a great expression. Again, as in the first post the detail is incredibly sharp - really like it.

The second baboon is better than the first for me. The gorilla just stays ahead ..

I like the baboon shots with the last as #1 IMO but the gorilla shot is just stunning, love the framing and exposure
