Hi,
I still have the 7D I mentioned in my post from October 2011. I'm a dope and wasn't checking my PMs. So, apologies if you tried to contact me. The battery is probably not working since I've neglected it for 6 months. The rest of the kit is in the same condition (and I found the LCD cover--a small victory). Contact me and I'll ship it domestically (USA). I would appreciate $20 for my trouble and I'll use it to pay for shipping. Thanks |

That box size looks way too small if you want to include any packaging.
1 5/8" is only around 40mm, the 7D is at least 60mm deep. |

I'd rather not ship internationally, and I already have at least one person who is interested, sorry.

I have a 7D body with vertical grip I bought off Ebay recently.
At the moment it's subject to a not as described claim via Ebay. I was wondering what it might be worth as spares should the claim fail. The grip is in good working order, undamaged but a little shinny with use. No box, just the grip itself. The 7D body is undamaged, again shiny with use, the thumb pad is missing, but otherwise it's in good shape. LCD protector missing, but LCD itself also in good shape. The fault with it is complete FBF failure, along with the exposure mode and comp dials not doing what they should, ie selecting different modes than those set, or wrong compensation. The Af and Anti Shake seem to be ok, indicator in finder showing normal action of the AS bars. Could anyone advise a rough idea of what both may be worth? Obviously if I come to sell (hopefully not) full details including pics will be supplied as expected. |

About £60 for the grip in the UK
A maximum of £40 for a broken 7D Prices based on ebay completed listings. The problem with a 'knackered' 7D is the lack of parts to fix it save that you can send it to Runtime in Bremen, Germany who still have the bits to fix FBF. |

Hi Nigel
Thanks for the advice. I will probably place an ad here if my claim fails, I really can't be doing with Ebay at the minute and would prefer to deal with honest folk! lol I wouldn't spend on this one to be honest, though the AS and some other parts might be of interest to someone though. |

No worries
I still have an 'emotional' attachment to my 7D which had the FBF problem fixed three times and the AS once and which now works beautifully. I guess I have to live with the fact that the combo (7D and grip) are now worth south of GBP200 |

Does anyone out there have available the clip-on viewfinder surround for a 5D?

Can other models be listed here (such as Alpha's)? If not, can a new thread for dead Alpha 2 and 3 digit models be created?

Parts are still readilly availabale for the 2xx and 3xx so I will keep this KM exclusive for a while longer.
The reason for establishing the 'boneyard' was the general non-availability of 5 & 7D parts in the USA and most of Europe. |

Thanks for the update I only asked as someone I know has an A100 which has gone jugs-up and I was thinking about directing them here if old Alphas were permitted, hence my original question and suggestion about possibly opening another thread for creaking 3 digit Alpha's. Chances are they would still get something back for it by listing on evilBay, though there could be a Dyxumer looking for a donor A100 for spares. Not to worry, it costs nothing to ask. |
