I can't help with that one, the 7d's got a different screen to the 5d. It maybe worth searching to see if the a100's lcd is the same as the 7d as I know that is a little different to the 5's again

Hello
Afterlookimg a long time finally I found a LCD for my 7D. But I've got a little problem. http://camerarepairworkshop.co.uk is selling the LCD. They have sent me an email. "Hi Milczuk, We can take a card payment by phone. So give me a call with the long card number and 3 numbers on the back.I will post the LCD out then." So far I know with these details they can use my account as they like. Have anyone made from you guys made such a payment? I need this LCD really bad. But I don't want spent my entire money on it :P |

This is the people in Milton Keynes... I have never used them, but have heard lots of good things about them - I think they are trustworthy.
There is a trust thing in using your credit/debit card over the phone, but I think this is what any retailer would do. |

They have been trading a very long time.
As their not a retail outlet you can not buy the part online , so paying over the phone is the only option . Quite common over here. Their business is repairing cameras and so on , where you send your camera in , it gets inspected , and if you want them to go ahead you pay over the phone . Job done. If your practically worried about paying over the phone , use a credit card , rather than debit card . Check with your card provider , but I think your insured against fraud . Other than that , ask them if they will accept a cheque . You'll have to post it and wait while it gets banked and it clears before they send you anything , o.k if your not in a hurry . They might not be able to do this though . If they don't work with cash etc , they might only do their banking online and won't want to mess about dealing with a cheque for a low value item. Personally , I would have no problem paying them over the phone for parts or services . |

Ahoy!
David and CRW are great. Just go to the CRW website. I and others have used them with no issues. They were the UK Minolta repair agents, so have no concerns about making over the phone payments as I and I'm sure millions of others do so all the time, and a CC payment is protected anyway, so pay the man and get your gear back. If anyone is looking for a Dynax 7D, I have one listed in the external classifieds forum. |

Ahoy!
For the attention of UK Dyxumers. If anyone has a dead or dying Dynax/Maxxum 7D gathering dust, and if they have them, would anyone be willing to part with both of the following items: 1. Hot-shoe flashgun cover (Sony Part No: FA-SHC1AM/B). 2. Viewfinder eyepiece cup model EC-1400 (Part No: 8237-200). If so, can you give me a cost for both? UK postage will be the price of a 2nd class large letter stamp if put into a regular envelope (no need for bubble-wrap). I've posted here as it's likely to be seen by owners who have a Dynax/Maxxum 7D that have turned up their mortal coil for the big parts bin in the sky, though if the thread MOD wants to move it to the WTB thread, then I'll have to accept that, but I hope this request may be allowed to remain here. I can do a PP transfer. TIA. |

Ahoy! I think it would be easier and a lot cheaper via eBay. Switzerland is a non-EU member, and if they charged over the allowable value limit for UK importing, then there will be Customs and other fees to pay, so not really worth doing IMO, so was hoping if anyone who had a duff 7D could offer the items cheaply and postage would be the price of a 2nd class large letter stamp within the UK, but if nobody has them or won't offer them for purchase, I'll revert to Plan B, but I thought it at least worth asking here first. It's not a big deal |

Do those parts match up with those from a 5D Mr Pirate Sah?

The hot-shoe cover will, but the eyecup model part number for the 5D is: EC-1500, so I assume will be different to the EC-1400 for the 7D. |
