With the ending of the free FFB back programme in most markets and a number of other well-known (but fixable) problems I have set up this thread for members to help each other by posting links to/ or offering for sale parts for the Dynax/Maxxum 5D and 7D.

Please restrict posts to this topic only.
No technical discussions please (use the main 5D/7D thread for those). Any posts 'off-topic' will be deleted witout notice.
I've been away!

Thanks Nigel.

I've got 7 5Ds that I've picked up over the years with various problems figuring I'd fix them but will now part out. Only 2 have good AS assemblies. Lots of separate rear LCDs also. Two 7Ds also available with bad AS. None have FFB AFAIK. Make offers on entire cameras. Or I will remove parts as needed. Many Minolta Dimage 7, Hi A1 A2 also. PM or e-mail peteganzel(at)lycos.com

It's my guess that the 5D and 7D are worth more in parts than in working order. Nevertheless, Pete: nice gesture!

This is a great idea. I want to have my 7D running a bit more of time and I know there are lots of OK pieces around.

The problem is that not so many people can make the fixing by himself

I have a 7D with a dead antishake mechanism - the rest is perfect. Happy to sell it for a very modest price to anyone who wants the parts. Also have four (I think) KM batteries and charger. This is probably only of interest to members in South Africa, though, since the cost of overseas shipping will be steep.
In my bag: a850 / M17-35G / CZ24-70 / S70-300G / M100m / KM5600HSD. Backup: a55 / KM11-18 / CZ16-80 / S75-300

Well my 7D took a tumble from the bag today and the AS has failed.

The good (Bad?) thing is that the grip took most of the impact so it is first on the sale block for $40

To Sell ..... 7D grip.

Condition (can send pix if you like) there is a crack from the rear controller dial to the door.

All controls still work and the door is still 100% functional and the battery clip still does what it is supposed too.

It was a real nice condition grip before the fall so you should get good service from the parts harvested from it.

$40 plus postage and 1/2 Pay Pal fees.

To Buy ...... 7D with "XXX" failure other than Antishake.

Need a 7D with a failure other than antishake. My (Alpha) 7D had FFB repaired last year and I would like to revive it if possible.

Looking for a body at 50-75 bucks.

Thanx

I also have a 7D body with ASS failure.

I can sell it for about 100€ in europe... I'd equally like to repair it but unles someody offers me an AS assembly for really cheap then I'm just looking to sell it. Everything else works OK and I think it has about 5 batteries, some better than others...

I'm also interested if there's a way to block AS and just use the camera without it, centering and locking the sensor manually.

Re the suggestion to lock SS. I think that is a very sensible suggestion/request for 7D and 5D users. I wonder if Pete Ganzel could shed any light on an approach

Hello everyone,

I need HELP with my camera.
I have a Konica Minolta Dynax(Maxxum) 5D digital camera and recently it refused to turn on. I took it to a place to repair it or at least see what is wrong with it and the technician said that apparently there was something wrong with it's power supply parts, but he could not get the part my camera needed - so I've been trying to find a solution online. I got the details of the part from him

I need the following part:
2186040203
DC DC PCB ASSY

Have you got any suggestions of where can I find this???

I would be very grateful for any response.
