 Fortunately the lines in the off-set viewfinder are not terribly accurate and you get a bit more in the frame as what you saw there. This gives a bit of wiggle room which comes in handy, especially for closer subjects where the parallax error becomes larger.

Dynamic range at base iso is about the same as my A7ii, but at higher iso's you indeed start losing, and vs. the modern A7Riv (the latest A7 body) it's even more dramatic:

B.t.w., indeed the colours out of an M240 are more vibrant and popping "out of the box" vs. a typical sony file. but with a bit of PP they become a lot closer.

I also recently picked up a second hand M240 to complement my M246 monochrom and if you take your time and don't mind manual focussing I find these M-rangefinder cameras a real joy to use, but I'm probably biased because that's the type of camera that I used exclusively the first 12 years of learning photography.
