Today is cold. Obviously not as cold as in Heikki land but still cold (-7C).
So I grabbed my new Helios and went outside to check its performance.
And, oh man, I am really impressed. This Soviet little thing is sooo good. Especially its sharpness. Wow.

Looks a nice location for a wander. My favourite here is the second image, with the snow picking out the line of the low hedge and leading the eye to the palace. I like the washerwomen statue also, good to see ordinary life celebrated and shown in a dignified way.

Balanced color on the ground and in the air. Lovely building in between.
And the lens seems very sharp
