Hi there,

A quick question here.

What type of hood or model could fit the Minolta 28-135 lens?

Wasn't designed for a hood so your only option is a screw in one. I'm using a cheapo screw in rubber hood on mine.

Use a step up ring from 72mm to 77mm and use a 3 stage rubber good .
A 72mm hood causes vignetting at 28mm as can deeper rimmed filters.

Edit ; that assumes your on full frame or film .
APSC is fine .

Ah I get the idea. The wider I'll go and the larger the shield has to be set having one able to go 72 to 77mm.

Thank you for the tip

I created a 3D printable bushing that adapts a metal hood to friction fit on to the lens:

a900, a700 and plenty of glass ;)
