As far as the canoeist is concerned, sorry, but no real sympathy.Wind is from the E, he is on the open E coast, nearest bit of land is Chile. so no shelter & 10-11m seas forecast. Consider the gene pool to have improved.
Only a wee respite before the next blow due Tuesday and Wednesday. NE Tuesday, going NW Wed.

We've got a warm front crossing Northland tomorrow night followed by a cold front. they should cross over us Tuesday or Wednesday. There's high pressure systems to the east and in the Tasman which are channeling the systems towards the North Island.
