Yes Leo, but this is the 135, the poor man's Trioplan that I know so well. My 1st Meyer. The 2nd was the 50, but the 50 is not so wild. Come to think of it, I forgot about the 135 for the Year with Meyer...... So will I go for the Zebra or for the Dark Horse?

Lovely swirly flowers. Cropping to tame the beast works very well!

I have converted an M42 helicoid to Exakta by replacing the M42 ring with the mount from a scrap Exakta Varex camera. Tricky as tiny bolts/nuts are required, but doable. Would that solve your MFD issue?

More from the Kinon Superior 1.8/50 and A7 II. Nice that we still have flowers at this time of year. I've decided to crop my Kinon images to improve on composition while still preserving plenty of swirl. While the extremes of the outer circle are fun at times, I don't always need that. The swirl can also be managed by shorter and longer distance shooting.

Anyway, I'm better with lenses that have reasonable MFD, the long Meyers do not offer that so it will be tubes or stacked helicoids. Tomorrow there should be some sun (it has been 24/7 grey for a while).

We've had one of the wettest months on record but when the sun is out, it's bright, even if not for very long this time of year. I'll be racing against the sunset again today if the wife gets home from shopping soon enough.

Struggle? The Primotar? Aside from size and weight, I find that lens wonderful to use. I'll like it even better when I get it focusing closer.

There is some oxide on the outside, but glass and mechanics are fine. But for 35 + some shipping I felt it was not a bad deal.

35 is a no-brainer Fred!
