Some first test shots out of a window on a grey New Year's day

I think I can get some nice bokeh shots out of that Telemegor

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, sweet .. !
have a great year ahead
& maaaaany more to come!!!

Thanks all for this great Year with Meyer!
I have learned (and spent ) a lot this year and enjoyed all your contributions. The year is over, but the Meyer fever will probably stick forever.
There are 17 Meyers/Pentacons in my cabinet now.

+1!

but I didn't mean the thread's anniversary (tomorrow!). meant as a flowery tribute to yesterday's actual BD girl...
(although related? ;-)).

Respectable number Fred!

I imagine we can keep this thread alive for another year...

Fine with me!

and me? still lightyears behind and could go on for ever and ....
awaiting 'the master's verdict?

unlike Fred, I only have 5 Meyers. still (did I say -sane? ). which I have used a lot.
so recently the focusing ring on the Oreston has come loose.
it still seems to work, more or less. does anyone know how it can be fixed?
I could get used to that Telemegor! like it, Fred!

dank je... appreciated a lot! it has left its fixed position, even axis. I can turn it around, like rotating a ring or a bracelet. it even moves from back to front. so far it still seems to work when pressed into place, but

Well Ine, the focussing ring should not move forward or backward when turning, it should stay where it is and move the lens barrel forward or backward. I cannot imagine what could cause this, but it sounds like it requires complete disassenbly of the front section of the lens to find the problem.

Perhaps MP can provide you with an affordable replacement....

Happy New Year to all Meyer fans!

If you want another Meyer year, by all means do so, but start a new thread (for instance "Another Year with Meyer") because this thread is almost 100 pages and in the past Dyxum crashed when threads became too long.
