A6000 fps

Hi folks. I currently do most of my shooting with a Sony a77ii. I'm contemplating picking up a used a6000 to play around with. Here's my big question:

Frames per second

My a77ii was advertised as having 12fps. As it turns out that's a "special mode" and so unless I want to use that mode (which means I don't have full manual control), I am limited to 8fps. I feel like it was a bit of false advertising and it's ALWAYS irked me ever since I found out.

The a6000 says 11fps. Is this a TRUE 11fps, as in I can use manual shutter/aperture/ISO and still get 11fps? Or is this another "special mode" thing?

Also, if I eventually pick up the LA-EA4 adapter, would I be able to make use of my Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 lens with this camera?

(Note that I don't have the money to buy a native 70-200 at the moment...if I really like the a6000 I may very well sell the whole a77ii set up and try to buy a native 70-200, but I just don't have the cash for such things at the moment.)

So essentially that would make the Tamron useless on the camera for me. That's a good thing to know.

I wouldn't bother with the a6000. To get a Higher frame rate than the A77II you'll need to pony up for an A9.

Then the 12fps on the a77 and a77ii would be better then the 11, considering the 11 fps for the a6xxx series cameras have the same limitations. Headlines vs fine print. Using the same constraints on the a6xxx series cameras that drops the fps to 8 on the a77ii lowers the fps on the a6xxx's also. Though the a6600 is pretty good.

O.K. Buy it and see for yourself. PS. The battery life will astound you.

I would love to consider a higher level camera, but I don't have the money for it.

Explain the live view thing. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that. I'm pretty happy with the way the a77ii handles things. I just know that when it comes time to upgrade in the future, I'm not sure how many a mount options I'll have. So I'm considering trying out a fairly comparable e mount that I can get for relatively little.

Huh I'm still confused. I mean, I do mostly action photography and I've not noticed anything weird or difficult about it. I feel like someone would have to show me what they mean. I've had the a77ii for a few years now (or maybe 4...I can't even remember! lol) and shoot almost entirely in hi-continuous. Nothing ever seems weird or out of place.
