I have an A6300 and the Sony class 4 adapter (Don't have the actual name handy)and wondering if the Tamron 200-500 lens will work fully with that setup. Thanks for any help you can provide.

The Tamron 200-500, assuming it is A-mount, is screw drive, so it will work well with the LA-EA4 adapter, manual focus only with the LA-EA3. Be aware that there are a limited number of focus points available using the LA-EA4, but it is possible to micro-adjust.

Thanks for your replies. I'm eagerly awaiting for it to arrive from Japan.
Curious as to whether it will work completely with the LA-EA4 adapter on an A6300. (Also have an A550). Or will there be some limitations?

Set drive mode to Continuous: Lo if you want focus tracking with adapters.

In a nutshell, only 15 AF points, tracking with auto-focus only on AFC Low, 2.5 frames per second when the object being tracked is within the focus sensor area, or 5 fps with focus locked at the first frame. Have a look at   this review, this page for technical details, and this video about micro-adjust, which you may or not need to do to fine tune the focusing. (note that you could micro-adjust when focusing at around the distance you normally shoot at).

Hmm, you are tempting me to slap on my Tamron 200-500mm with an LA-EA2 on my NEX-6 ... hmmm, maybe ...

OK, you made me do it.
I am pleasantly surprised how well my 6year old NEX-6 + LA-EA2 handled the Tamron 200-500mm. Continous focus was usable, but only after I stepped outside. I would not attempt to use it for BIF.
