A6500 Top Dial Wear?

Checking through auction's and used A6500's, to find that the top plate dials show excessive letter and symbol wear. Some at shutter counts as low as 10,000. Is this normal or a faulty batch that's been corrected? Checked on dpreview and noticed issues there.

I checked my much used A77ii and it shows no wear at all.I notice on my camera that the dials have an embossed type lettering, but the non raised lettering on the body is also, as new. Checked my A350 that I purchased new around 2008/9. This has really been round the block, but again no wear whatsoever. Similarly my film cameras are ok.
Is this the same for all apsc e mount series or is it only beginning to show on the A6500? Sorry if this has been reviewed elsewhere before, but I would probably not purchase if I thought that the wear factor was significant.

I used the illustrations of my A77ii and film cameras to question whether the earlier models were more durable, as they obviously do not wear over time. So why change to a less durable product and leave the testing to consumers? Why didn't they lab test the newer model?
I'm not sure now that I would buy one without letter wear, as you suggest, only to find that it wore off after minimal use. Are you saying that there's only one way to use this dial and that others are using it not in the way intended? Genuinely just asking, as I don't want to waste money on a camera that will not stand up to normal use and the test of time.

It is cheaper to produce and only people who use it in a certain will have the problem. Most are just fine.

And this kind of dial is not new:
My A100 has an A6000/A6500 style dial and it is just fine.
My Dynax 5 (a.k.a. Maxxum 5) has A6000/A6500 style lettering on the dial - just fine.

And 10.000 shutter counts tells you nothing about how often they turned the dial.

Do not worry so much. If your present cameras are fine, so will this one.

What I am saying is that some ways of using any product will result in more wear than other ways of using a product.

My A6000 is fine, most used ones I see are fine. Same goes for the A6500. It perfectly stands up to normal use IMHO.
