I have been trying to find previous articles regarding tethering/live view with A99 but cant find anything in search.

Can anybody point me to the articles or advise how to correctly connect my A99 to my laptop so that I can view on my laptop, what I am shooting live, or have shot, and which software to use - Capture One ?

Thanks Addy the first link seems to have the answer unless there is anything new since then.

Actually neither of those seems to have the correct setup process. I think I will have to install the latest Remote/Viewer to get the tether to work.

Haven't looked but I don't think Remote/Viewer is available anymore but Imaging Edge should work. As far as tethering with Capture One Pro it works really well with the a99II but does not support the a99.

Thanks for your reply Rob.

Remote Viewer Edit is available and seems to work pretty well with my A99, I just haven't had time to get into it too deeply yet. It definitely works as a tether to download "shot" images to my laptop, but so far I haven't been able to work out if it handles live view, or how to increase the screen image size.

At least it works

It is a good thing that my A99 does not know it
I have used Capture One tethering with my A99 for years without problems

I would be even happier if A99 tethering worked with LRCC or PSCC. That would save having another app on my Laptop

You could always remove Lightroom and Photoshop and go full Capture One

Good to see you are on the right track.

https://frankdoorhof.com/web/2012/11/sony-a99-wireless-strobe-solution/

<It started with the option to shoot tethered. This was quickly solved by the great guys from DNA software (www.dslrsoftware.com). an ancient story ... from 2012.
(didn't check if it was updated for more recent LR versions).

It seems that www.dslrsoftware.com no longer exists, but thanks you have got me looking for a suitable plugin for PSCC or LRCC.

OK have now figured it out so that my tethered A99 opens the image up in PSCC ready for editing (either RAW or jpeg), and my A77ii does the same but also with live view, using Remote Viewer Edit R.V.E
