Could well be. Nothing much that can be done apart from either a sensor swap or a re-map of the sensor.
Try changing the date in the camera a month forwards and restart the camera, it ought to do a darkframe shot and map out those hot pixels. |

It is complicated, Google tells me.
On the A7s3 it is easy: https://helpguide.sony.net/ilc/2010/v1/en/contents/TP0003229312.html I do not have that option on my A7r4, so I guess I have to do this: https://thenewcamera.com/sony-a7-iii-sony-a7r-iii-and-sony-a9-camera-hot-pixel-stuck-pixel-dead-pixel-fix/ or this: https://diglloyd.com/blog/2021/20210328_1843-SonyA1-PixelMapping.html I want an firmware update.... |

I'd try it a few times before giving up on it, make sure the camera goes through a funny sounding shutdown (the shutter will cycle and a few seconds later shut again).
