^ I would love this. For those without years of images to wade through, it would be a bit more encouraging. Maybe include a "date taken" for the list of exif info.

I see merit in both options

a) yes good to have a challenge to get out and take a new photo
b) not so good if the challenge is something that you cant participate in due to time/location of the member etc

I hope I'm not too late to this discussion...

I confess a vested interest - I have virtually no back-catalogue. Nevertheless I'd like to compete.

I suggest a compromise of sorts:
- As TheEmrys suggests, include "date taken" in the EXIF required.
- Rather than awarding a winner & 2 honourable mentions, award a winner (as now) + a "best new photo" + a single HM.

Love the contests in any case. Thanks to mods & admins for putting them together.

Hi there! Any news about the voting session for the running contest Mad on Film? The topic appears to be kinda dead since late May...

Thanks! Happy to join the community! Your pictures for the contest were quite nice actually....I'd be happy to vote for the second one in the war cemetery if I could Well, I guess there aren't so many people out there who still happen to have a film archive
