I recognize this quarry from week50mm 2020?

once I've finished with island life (IoW) I think perhaps it will be time to move to the hills of Wales.

(can you access the quarry - legally - and can you take souvenir bits of slate home?)

There's a legal footpath through but you have to climb over the odd gate to access the interesting parts. Lots do, and I've never heard of anyone being bothered, but it means you enter at your own risk. Souvenir slate? Probably not legally but nobody would notice if you did.

Wow, great set, especially the last: what a grim atmosphere!

Wonderful set, beautifully photographed and presented.
Love the light in #3 and #4.
These outings with your camera gear must be keeping you very fit.
Thanks for sharing.

#'s 1 -3 - very interesting. #4 - award winner - the great light and your composition and the mood.

Thaanks Harm, Joe, Roger, Fred and Jack. I like the light in #3 but #4 is my favourite, I'm a sucker for the rays.
Joe, I can no longer drive because of my eyesight so have to keep fit for the walking and cycling
