This morning Fred_S and me had decided to go for a stroll in the Amsterdamse Waterleiding Duinen, an area of outstanding beauty, originally intended for the purification of Rhine water for Amsterdam, but nowadays also a natural reserve.

We forgot to make the group portrait (of 2 men) but we had a wonderfull walk.

Thanks for the company this morning and for starting this thread Harm!

It's always a pleasure to walk around with the camera and friends in this area.
However, it now has been my third time without spotting any foxes, which the place is famous for

Here's the proof Harm was there

FS-2 And a close up of the heron

More to come!

Literal translation from Dutch might be blue heron, but in English it is grey heron (Ardea cinerea). (And then there is also great blue heron (Ardea herodias) and little blue heron (Egretta caerulea), but those are American species.)

Excellent work from both of you gentlemen. FS-4 is really cute and HB-05 is a nice landscape with a hidden bonus. Looking forward to more from both of you!
