Hi Joe,

Yes, it did! And if you stepped on the gas it would pin you back in the seat --serious g-force! Mine had the center console between the seat with U shaped shifter.   Still, my dream car would be a Porsche Cayman S or Boxter. Wife tells me to dream on!    Have to be content with my little red 94 Toyota PU, while she gets to drive a new VW Golf Alltrack!

Joe,

What a coincidence, we were watching the latest episode of the German TV show "Tatort" from Sunday. Imagine my surprise when Freddy Schenck and Max Bauloff were driving a 1971 Buick Riviera -- that's the boat tail version of the Riviera.
Can you imagine what they would have to pay in gasoline alone to drive that car there? I'm guessing gasoline must cost some $7.00 gallon or so in Germany? Feel free to chime in German members.
