Hout Auto - a dutch artist Joost Conijn created this car on base of a Citroën DS chassis, the engine was driven by a wood burning device. He crossed 15 countries in Europe with it, now it is on display the Utrecht Museum. A short movie can be found here.

It is at the Centraal Museum in Utrecht. And one can argue it is no longer automotive as "These new interpretations made clear that Hout Auto can be understood as a sculpture." "The engine will be disconnected" and "the car will be moved in the future without using the engine." (The Conservation Ethics of and Strategies for Preserving and Exhibiting an Operational Car: The Motion and Standstill of Joost Conijn’s Hout Auto (Wood Car)).
And I feel a bit uncomfortable by the video.... All in all, an interesting story and good pictures! TFS. |
