really tough time deciding which downy woodpecker pick I liked best. Found a breeding pair of all places in my parents back yard and literally almost at eye level their nesting so low. To give you a good indication of just how small they are they are maybe 4 inches tall. Smallest woodpeckers in north America.

Surprising indeed and quite unexpectedly small. I'm imagining you must have been very close in your Day 25 image.

My outtake for today includes bubbles (if you look very very carefully, in the far far distance!). In the future I might try creating bubbles deliberately.
